CC has a few documentation pages with nothing in-depth and youtube is almost empty. Īnd probably the most important part for developers, Unity documentation is far superior. Unity engine has the upper hand too for graphic apis, physics, sound, input, light, shadows. Important platforms like ios, consoles and linux.

The file size of the render script doesn't matter much when there's hundreds of MB game data that also has to be loaded. But which features are included in that 200kb against the 4MB of Unity which includes all features of Unity? Obviously it doesn't include a physics engine with collision. On top of that Unity has an animation editor including timelines and animation scripting and again has tons of assets to extend the animation editing and for downloading pre-made characters/animations. Character Animation: You can drag characters to the UI and Unity will import and organise the model, textures and animations. From CC documentation on mobile platforms there isn't even collision! Both PhysX and Box2D SDK are free to use and both PhysX and Box2D is open source. Physics Engine: Unity has a custom PhysX for 3D and a custom Box2D for 2D that run on all platforms. And a lot more customisation for the tools. Terrain Editor: Unity has all the features you mention build in too. Is there any feature of the "simple-click" in CC better than for instance Playmaker which is only 1 of the many assets for Unity and is only priced €65? Simple-Click game system: Aside from what the IDE already has, Unity also has tons of free and paid assets to take the programming away.

Take the assets from one of many Unity demos and make it in CC for comparison. I can't find a single demo of CC showing it.
